Class times for Detroit families

Weekday classes from 3:30 pm Eastern, evening slots to 9:00 pm, and weekend mornings from 9:00 am.

Your slot is fixed in your local US time and stays at the same local time when the clocks change, so you never recalculate the schedule.

Why families in Detroit choose one-to-one online classes

Metro Detroit has a long-established Arabic-speaking community, particularly around Dearborn and Hamtramck, and that changes what families ask for. Many children here already hear Arabic at home and know the letters — what they need is Tajweed and fluent reading rather than a beginner’s Qaida, and starting them at the beginning would waste months and their patience. The level assessment matters more here than almost anywhere: placing an Arabic-speaking seven-year-old correctly is the difference between a child who enjoys the lesson and one who concludes it is beneath them.

Looking for a Quran teacher in Detroit?

Students join us from Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Hamtramck, Warren, Sterling Heights, Canton, Troy and Ann Arbor. Lessons are online and your teacher is matched on what the student needs — a female teacher, a Hifz specialist, a slot that works in your local US time — not on who happens to live near Detroit.

Common questions

Our child already speaks Arabic. Would they start at the beginning?

No. The free assessment exists precisely for this. An Arabic-speaking child usually skips most of the Qaida and begins on Tajweed and fluent reading from the mushaf, and the teacher will say plainly where they should start.

Can the lesson be taught in Arabic rather than English?

Yes. Our teachers speak Arabic, English and Urdu, and you choose the language of instruction when you book.

Do you teach Hifz to a level suitable for a child aiming to lead prayer?

Yes. Full Hifz runs five days a week with daily revision tracked in writing. We will be honest about the commitment it requires, which is substantial, and whether a particular child is ready.

Do you cover Dearborn, Hamtramck and the suburbs?

All of them, and Ann Arbor. Classes are online, so there is no catchment and no difference in availability or fees.
