Online Quran Classes for Adults and New Muslims
Plenty of adults never had the chance to learn to read the Quran, or learned as children and forgot. Classes are private, so there is no group to keep up with and nobody hears your mistakes but your teacher.
Starting as an adult beginner
You begin exactly where you are. If that means the Arabic alphabet, the teacher starts there without making it awkward. Most adults take two or three 45-minute classes a week and read short surahs within a few months.
For new Muslims
New Muslims often want more than reading: how to pray, what to say in salah, and the meaning of what they recite. Classes can mix Quran reading with the practical basics, in whatever balance is useful.
Classes around work
Early morning before work, late evening after the children sleep, or weekends. Tell us the windows that work in your time zone and we fit the teacher around them.
Common questions
Am I too old to learn to read the Quran?
No. Adults often progress faster than children because they practise deliberately and understand the rules being explained.
Will my teacher explain things in English?
Yes. Teachers explain Tajweed rules and meanings in English, and Urdu or Arabic if you prefer.
Can I learn Quran online for adults if I have never read a word of Arabic?
Yes. About half our adult students start exactly there. You learn the letters, then how they join, then short surahs — privately, so there is no class to be the slowest in.
I am a revert. Where should I start?
With reading, almost always. Being able to read the Arabic unlocks everything else, and it is more achievable in a few months than people expect. Many reverts take an Islamic studies lesson alongside so the basics of prayer and belief are covered at the same time.
Is there a best way to learn Quran online as a working adult?
Two or three longer lessons a week at a fixed time, and ten minutes of practice on the days between. Adults usually fail on consistency rather than ability — a plan you can hold for a year beats an ambitious one you abandon in March.
Will the teacher mind that I am slow or make the same mistake repeatedly?
No. Teaching adult beginners is ordinary work here, and repeating a correction is the job. The lesson is private precisely so that nobody else is waiting while you get a letter right.
