Who it is for
Families in Leicester and the surrounding area — children from age 4, teenagers, adults and complete beginners.
How long it takes
Most students take 3 to 5 classes a week of 30 minutes, or 2 to 3 classes of 45 minutes for adults.
Class times for Leicester families
Weekday classes from 4:00 pm, evening slots to 9:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday mornings, in UK time.
Your slot is fixed in UK time (GMT/BST) and stays at the same local time when the clocks change, so you never recalculate the schedule.
Why families in Leicester choose one-to-one online classes
Leicester families tend to ask more detailed questions about qualifications than families elsewhere, which is a fair reflection of how much choice they have locally. The answer we give is the same one we would want: our teachers hold an Ijazah or a formal qualification, identity and references are checked before a single class, and you can change teacher at any time without giving a reason. The second recurring theme here is the gap between a child who attends madrasah daily and still cannot read a new page unaided — a very specific problem, and one that only a lesson where the child does all of the reading will fix.
Looking for a Quran teacher in Leicester?
Students join us from Highfields, Spinney Hills, Evington, North Evington, Belgrave, Rushey Mead, Thurnby Lodge and Oadby. Lessons are online and your teacher is matched on what the student needs — a female teacher, a Hifz specialist, a slot that works in UK time (GMT/BST) — not on who happens to live near Leicester.
Common questions
What qualifications do your teachers actually hold?
Qualified Huffaz and Qaris. Identity, qualification and references are checked before they take a class, and an Ijazah is confirmed with the issuing teacher or institution where a teacher holds one. If you want to know a specific teacher’s background before committing, ask and we will tell you.
Our child attends madrasah daily but still cannot read a new page. Why?
Usually because they have memorised the pages they are taught rather than learnt to decode. The test is simple: give them a page they have never seen. If it stops them, the gap is in reading, not effort, and one-to-one lessons where the child does all the reading is what closes it.
Can we try a teacher before committing to a month?
Yes. The trial is three free one-to-one lessons with no card details taken, and if the teacher is not the right fit we will change them before you pay anything.
Do you teach Gujarati-speaking families?
Our teachers speak English, Urdu and Arabic rather than Gujarati. In practice almost all Leicester families take the lesson in English, with the child answering in English, and that has not been a barrier.
